Penetrating Damp

Penetrating damp is caused by water entering the property from outside, often through defects in the building fabric.

Typical causes include:

  • Damaged brickwork or pointing

  • Faulty render

  • Leaking gutters or downpipes

  • Roof defects

This often appears as damp patches on walls or ceilings, particularly after rainfall.

We take a practical, repair-led approach,  identifying the exact entry point and carrying out the necessary external repairs to stop water ingress at source.

Our services include:

  • External inspections and fault diagnosis

  • Repairs to brickwork, roofing and drainage

  • Internal repairs and redecoration
