Rising Damp

Rising damp occurs when moisture from the ground travels up through walls, typically due to a failed or missing damp-proof course or high external ground levels.

Common signs include:

  • Tide marks on internal walls

  • Peeling paint or plaster

  • White salt deposits at low level

At Ward Property Services, we don’t just treat the symptoms, we identify the underlying cause.

We carry out a full assessment of ground levels, internal wall condition and moisture readings before recommending the correct solution.

Our approach includes:

  • Diagnosis using moisture testing equipment

  • Damp-proof course treatments where required

  • Making good plaster and finishes
